Faith-informed counseling across cultures
A safe place for missionaries, ministry workers, individuals, couples, and families to be seen, heard, and accepted through seasons of transition, loss, stress, and change.
Life and ministry can move so quickly that we lose touch with the stress and pain our bodies are carrying. Counseling creates room to listen, make sense of your story, and move toward deeper connection—with yourself, with others, and with God.
Areas of care
Licensed clinical care, cross-cultural understanding, and Christian faith come together in a thoughtful, personal approach, online and in person.
Space to process cross-cultural life, difficult incidents, re-entry, transition, and the emotional weight of ministry.
Care for couples and families who want to understand underlying wounds and grow in openness, trust, and connection.
Support through experiences that overwhelm, disrupt identity, or reshape the path ahead.
A whole-person approach to emotional health, spiritual formation, identity, and sustainable life in ministry.
Compassionate, honest help for patterns that bring isolation, shame, or disconnection.
Seen. Heard. Accepted.
Cross-cultural understanding
Fifteen years in teaching and counseling roles across East Asia, Nancy’s upbringing there, and their cross-cultural marriage shape Curt and Nancy’s understanding of the beauty, complexity, strain, and growth that can come with life between cultures.
“Some of us have never been invited to explore the parts of our story that deeply affected us.”
Our team
Curt and Nancy are Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists who bring clinical training, Christian faith, and deeply personal cross-cultural experience into the counseling relationship.
Together, they understand the complexity of life between cultures. Curt spent fifteen years in teaching and counseling roles across East Asia, while Nancy was born and raised there before moving between Asia and North America. Their cross-cultural marriage and life raising three energetic boys continue to shape the compassion and perspective they offer individuals, couples, families, missionaries, and ministry workers.
Both create thoughtful, welcoming spaces where clients can explore their stories, understand relational patterns, and move toward healing and deeper connection.
Care for transition, trauma, grief, addiction, missionary life, and marriage and family relationships.
Meet CurtCare for relationships, parenting, attachment, trauma, identity, mood concerns, and cross-cultural transitions.
